The Hennepin County Attorney Community Relations Board was born out of a convening in November 2023, where local organizations from Hennepin County connected with other communities that are organizing around their elected prosecutor.
Our coalition formally launched in July 2024, with core organizations including: Sex Workers in Minneapolis, TONE UP, Black Community Board Minnesota, Minnesota Justice Research Center, Legal Rights Center, Color Of Change, Incarcerated Workers Organizing Committee, Minneapolis NAACP, and Minnesota Wrongfully Convicted Judicial Reform.
